Is a family cell phone plan really what’s best for you? Let’s find out.
Here is a comparison list of the best cell phone plans that are currently available for families. Plans from every provider including AT&T, T-Mobile and Verizon are compared as are plans from each of their respective MVNO’s.
Please be advised that family plans aren’t always your best option to save you and your family money on a phone plan. We have many different phone plan comparison lists that you should check out before making a final decision on what to purchase. The pricing shown below is the total price of all the lines combined, not the price per line.
Number Of Lines Needed
Okay you guys I need a little help here. I’m a single mom having hard times. I need a better phone and I want to have 2 lines. My son loves watching stuff on up on YouTube and listen to music. What’s the best and cheapest out there?
How is mint or Red Pocket not on this list?
I’m extremely confused about this view to compare prices and etc for the best family plan. Now I’ve been a customer at Metro PCS and I have the family plan. I pay $125.00 a month for 3 phones, myself, my son, and my Ex-husband. All 3 of us have unlimited talk, text, data(4g and it never slows down to 3g-2g-1g. It remains at 4g because it’s unlimited data for all 3 phones. No sharing or going over allowed talk minutes(which BTW I had an AT&T family plan 10+ years ago and I was so sick to my stomach when I got the bill every month. We had to share talk minutes etc and I’m telling everyone that never had the privilege to have AT&T’s family plan beware. I’m not sure if they changed with the times or to stay in the game, but 4 ppl sharing talk minutes and everything else was a joke. If you or your family members went over the allotted amount of minutes you literally should have just filed bankruptcy. I’m not serious about bankruptcy, but it was legit like $1.28 for every minute or text or download etc over. I’m sorry I went off subject. I love my family plan through Metro PCS. It’s part of the T-Mobile networks. We all 3 of us have 4g unlimited data etc. No sharing anything LOL. We all have 34 gb of storage. Our previous phones only had 16. We all are eligible for an upgrade on our phone when we get our offers and bonuses we’re due for. The plan is a pay as you go I believe that is how it’s referred to as. With AT&T I was locked in for 2 years and if I wanted out it was to bad for me.
Anyway I checked out the T-Mobile best family cell phone plans to see if they were going to be better than what we have now or just comparable. As I began reading the unique features etc I noticed that they seemed to be focused on our of country deals, never mentioned if you could opt out of for instance the mobile hotspot. Not myself or my 2 family members in my family plan needed it so I was able to cancel it and save $6.00 per month, per phone. It may not seem to be much, but $18.00 a month off the bill adds up to a nice savings for a year. We also don’t really travel out of the country therefore we don’t need international calling. I’m not sure if Metro PCS is going out of business, but I’m going to be praying that they don’t and I can keep my family plan through Metro PCS the way it is. I can actually add 1 more family member and for Christmas my 74 year old Mother wants to get with the times and learn how to use an Android phone. I’m so excited to get her the first Android phone she’ll ever own and teach her everything(I hope). Its going to be a surprise and I know that it will be.
So my question to the community and Metro PCS if your reading is that if you wanted people to view the different types of family plans you have available; then why would you actually turn it into international calling plans and airplane features etc. I didn’t directly or indirectly see any information that makes one plan better than the other one for a family plan.
Please someone who agrees with me and understands the bigger picture that I got let me know that I’m not crazy and none of the unique features etc had been related to family plans. UGH I FEEL LIKE I WASTED MY TIME. DOES ANYONE ELSE FEEL LIKE I DO? PLEASE DON’T BE SAD. IM NOT. IM JUST EXTREMELY CONFUSED.
SINCERELY
EXTREMELY CONFUSED
I have Ting and we’re paying about $45/month almost every month. My highest has been about $75. That with 3 lines.
Is there a Verizon prepaid that you can have two lines both unlimited data
