Recently reviewed Tello has announced that it now has a subscriber referral program. The referral program is straight forward and simple. Customers refer a friend using a unique link that they have in their account dashboard. If someone subscribes to Tello through that link, both you and the new subscriber get a $10 account credit. There is no limit as to how many friends can be referred. Your unique referral link can be shared on Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, Twitter or any other platform of your choosing.
The new program comes to commemorate the end of Tello's 2 year anniversary celebration. A celebration that also included a promotion that allowed new and current customers to receive 50% off 1-2 months of service.
Referral programs are a pretty common strategy that MVNO's and prepaid providers use to try and acquire new subscribers. AT&T owned Cricket Wireless for instance rewards customers and those that they refer with a $25 account credit. Unlike Tello, Cricket does have a referral credit limit. Rewards are capped at $250/year or 10 referrals.
