Ting has just launched a limited time special offer. Customers that activate a new line on either a Ting Set or Unlimited plan will receive a $10 gift card. Qualifying plans start at $25/month. The offer was launched today, September 21, and will run until 11:59PM EST on September 24, 2021, or while supplies last.
Customers that qualify for the gift card will receive it after their first month of service. All new activations are also automatically entered into a drawing to win one of four Ting Mobile YETI tailgating prize packs. The prize pack comes with a Ting Mobile branded YETI cooler, YETI tumbler and YETI backpack.
Ting Mobile Plans That Qualify For $10 Gift Card
There are a total of four wireless plans that are eligible for the offer. Here they are:
- $25/month - 5GB high-speed data, all data can be used for hotspot
- $35/month - 12GB high-speed data, 8GB can be used for hotspot
- $45/month - 22GB high-speed data, 12GB can be used for hotspot
- $55/month - 35GB high-speed data, 18GB can be used for hotspot
All plans include unlimited talk, text, and data with the specified amount of data available at high-speeds before throttling to 2G data speeds once the high-speed allotment has been reached. Customers that run out of high-speed data during a billing cycle can always add more priced at $5/GB. Data top-ups carryover to the next month.
New Ting customers may also be eligible for a $25 account credit to go alongside the $10 gift card promo.
Ting Mobile operates as both a Verizon MVNO and a T-Mobile MVNO. However, that is expected to change moving forward. In August of 2020, DISH acquired Ting Mobile assets from its parent company Tucows. In mid-July, DISH announced that it had signed a long term deal with AT&T to make AT&T the primary network partner for DISH's MVNO customers which include Ting, Boost Mobile, and Republic Wireless. So Ting customers can expect a transition to AT&T at some point down the road. DISH's Boost Mobile brand is expected to start activating customers on the AT&T network in the next few weeks. It is unknown whether the same timeline is in place for Republic Wireless and Ting to start activating on AT&T as well. I'm inclined to believe those brands will not start activating on the network until a later date.
