For the longest time those interested in service with Red Pocket have been able to pick up discounted cell phone plans via the companies eBay store and more recently through its Amazon store. To get those discounts, subscribers had been required to pay for several months of service in advance.
That is not entirely the case today.
Red Pocket Mobile has been busy the past several weeks updating its phone plans. Those updates have begun to trickle down to its Amazon and eBay stores. In fact, the company is actually now selling its best valued plan through Amazon and eBay as opposed to offering it directly through the Red Pocket Mobile website.
Red Pocket Mobile is an MVNO that operates on all 4 major networks in the USA, which include AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile and Verizon. The value plan that they are selling is available to be used on your choice of any of those 4 networks. It is being offered at an introductory price of $29.75 and it includes unlimited talk and text with 3 GB of hard capped high speed data, a free SIM card and free shipping with an Amazon Prime subscription. Unlimited international talk is also included on all networks, and international texting is available on the AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile based plans. After the one month of service is up, subscribers will either have to switch to Red Pocket's similarly priced standard plan which features unlimited talk, text, and data with the first 2.5 GB at high speeds for $30/month, or they can continue with the 3 GB plan if they are willing to pay for service several months in advance.
Those willing to pay for several months of service in advance will get the 3 GB plan at a huge discount. Pay 6 months in advance or a total of $153 and you'll get the plan at an average cost of just $25.50/month. If you pay for a year in advance or a total of $255 you'll get the plan at an average cost of just $21.25! This is far and away the cheapest way to get an unlimited talk, and text plan with at least 3 GB of data on the Verizon, Sprint and AT&T networks. Those interested in a plan on the T-Mobile network can get a similar type of offer from Mint SIM.
Subscribers who are a little more daring, don't have to first sign up for the $29.75 plan to be able to get the huge multi month discounted plan. The 6 month and 12 month plans are also available right now through Amazon and you can get the 6 month plan here, and the 12 month plan here.

Joe, could you please do a full personal experience review of Red Pocket. Their prices are very intriguing, especially the long term discounts. But I know nothing about the quality and reliability of their customer service. As well as any throttling issues with any of the networks they utilize. I found some very poor reviews of their service, but most of the reviews or complaints were very old. I could not find anything recent. There were some consistent signs of problems regarding accounts renewing properly at months end. I tested the issue by asking one of their reps in chat. They told me if I renew before the end of my 30 days, I will lose all benefits paid for for the current billing cycle, in particular any data still unused.
Would love to learn more about them from yourself and other customers of the service before making any long term commitment.
Hello. I do plan to do a review. I cannot promise a time frame on that though. It could be quite awhile. I’m a bit behind on the reviews.
Red Pocket is not the only MVNO to wipe out your plan for the current billing cycle if you renew early. Others do this too, which is unfortunate.
None of the networks that they utilize are currently throttled until you use up your high speed data, except Verizon. The plan mentioned in this article has data hard capped though, so once you run out, that’s it for the month.
Red Pocket has had a complete makeover in the last 6 months or so, so I am not sure that those old reviews are relevant. I have however seen those issues about accounts having a slight delay before renewing, but I am not sure if those are new or older reviews off of the top of my head.
Can anyone confirm that the annual plans on amazon include free international calling? The item description does not mention international calling, but on the red pocket site all the monthly plans are advertised with international calling.
A representative from Red Pocket told me international calling is included. Red Pocket says this on the Amazon page as well in the Q & A section.
