Verizon’s latest offer includes a 50% discount on select phones with activation of a new line prepaid plan required. It is for both new numbers and switchers. The offer ends April 30, 2022, or until supplies run out. The two plans in the offer are the 15GB and Unlimited Data prepaid plans. Wave7 Research recently noted the new offer and detailed it in a report sent out to its subscribers.
Listed below are the five phones included in the offer. The prices vary, but cater to budget minded shoppers. Discounts are reflected in the cart, at checkout.
There is an activation fee of $35 that can be waived if purchased online. Devices that are paid in full are locked for 60 days upon activation, then unlocked automatically. There are taxes and fees that apply. Streaming is available up to 480p.
There is a $5.00 per month discount with autopay which starts in month two. The total discount is automatically deducted at checkout.

The longer you stay a customer the bigger a discount you will get with discounts maxing out after nine months.

There are no multi-line discounts available on either plan. There is an additional $5/month autopay discount available that starts in month two. Taxes and fees cost extra. Video streaming on both plans is limited to a resolution of 480p. Both plans offer 5G nationwide coverage but neither plan offer 5G Ultra-Wideband coverage, so you won't get the maximum 5G data speeds offered by Verizon.
Claiming the offer requires prepayment of the phone and the first month of service of the plan.
In addition to the 50% off offer, Verizon continues to offer up to $300 off select phones, a promo it launched last fall.
Jeff Moore, Principal of Wave7 Research added: "this seems to be a tax season offer on low-end phones from Verizon prepaid. It seems to be online only, as we’re not seeing the offer at retail.”
