Wave7 Research has begun seeing window signage at some Cricket Wireless stores advertising four lines of Smart Unlimited for $70/month for BYOD customers. The offer has been tested in some markets since at least May, based on Facebook posts at the time advertising the same pricing. The offer has likely now expanded to more markets evidenced by Wave7 Research observing store signage and Cricket's own Facebook account recently posting about the deal.

Some Cricket dealer posts on Facebook, as seen here, have advertised discounts on both Smart Unlimited and Supreme Unlimited, describing a $10 monthly discount for each line when customers bring their phone numbers and fully paid-off devices. That puts four four Supreme Unlimited lines at $90/month. Both offers are $40 below Cricket’s published four-line rates.

Cricket’s $70 And $90 BYOD Offers Explained

The advertised $70 Smart Unlimited offer requires a new account, with all four phones and phone numbers brought to Cricket at the same time. Customers must activate all four lines on Smart Unlimited.

The $70 price includes a $5 account-level Auto Pay credit that starts with the second month of service. Once that credit begins, the cost works out to $17.50 per line.

In-store activation may cost $25 per line, adding $100 to the cost of switching. Based on the advertised terms, first-month service would be $75 before the Auto Pay credit begins, putting service and activation at $175 before any other applicable fees.

The Supreme Unlimited dealer promotion also requires customers to bring their numbers and fully paid-off devices. Its advertised four-line price works out to $22.50 per line.

Supreme Unlimited is Cricket's flagship plan and includes unlimited priority data, whereas Smart Unlimited is deprioritized, so Smart Unlimited customer data speeds will slow more than Supreme Unlimited customers during times of network congestion.

Here is how the two offers compare with Cricket’s regular pricing:

PlanRegular Four-Line PriceAdvertised BYOD PricePromotional Price Per Line
Smart Unlimited$110/month$70/month$17.50/month
Supreme Unlimited$130/month$90/month$22.50/month

Smart Unlimited includes unlimited talk, text and data, 15GB of high-speed hotspot data per line, and 100GB of cloud storage. Supreme Unlimited increases the high-speed hotspot allowance to 50GB per line and cloud storage to 150GB, while adding HBO Max Basic with Ads. Both include Mexico and Canada usage, and international texting to more than 200 countries and territories.

How Cricket Compares With Metro And Total Wireless

Cricket’s pricing puts pressure on the other carrier-owned prepaid flanker brands competing for customers through their own stores, particularly Metro by T-Mobile and Verizon’s Total Wireless.

Metro advertises an in-store BYOD offer of four unlimited lines for $100/month with AutoPay. First-month service is $120, and its published activation fee is $25 per line. Taxes and fees are included in the monthly rate, and Metro advertises a five-year price guarantee. Against that ongoing service price, Cricket’s Smart Unlimited promotion is $30/month cheaper, while Supreme Unlimited is $10/month cheaper.

Total Wireless’s current national pricing lists four lines of Total STARTER for $95/month with Auto Pay. Four lines of Total MAX 5G or MAX 5G BYO cost $105/month. Cricket’s Smart promotion is therefore $25 below STARTER and $35 below MAX, while even its Supreme promotion comes in below both.

Total has benefits beyond its monthly price. Its MAX plans include unlimited hotspot data at speeds up to 5Mbps and international roaming in more than 140 countries. Cricket’s plans instead provide a fixed amount of high-speed hotspot data, followed by much slower hotspot speeds.

Total also advertises a five-year price guarantee. The Cricket dealer advertising does not identify a comparable multi-year guarantee.

Editor’s Take

Cricket is offering more than a small adjustment to the familiar four-lines-for-$100 deal. For eligible families, it is cutting the service bill substantially without requiring them to replace their phones.

That is a stronger approach than Cricket took when it introduced Smart Unlimited in July 2025. As BestMVNO reported at the time, the plan gained hotspot data and offered lower single-line pricing, but four-line pricing increased from $100 to $110. The $70 BYOD promotion reverses that disadvantage for qualifying switchers, although it does not reduce the regular rate for existing accounts.

The Supreme offer is arguably the more interesting of Cricket’s two discounts. It is giving dealers a way to move customers to Supreme for another $5 per line while keeping the total household bill below Metro’s advertised $100 BYOD rate. And customers on the upgraded plan have the advantage of priority data and the HBO Max subscription.

These are aggressive offers by Cricket for winning family accounts from competing carriers, however, if they really wanted to go all in they'd offer the deals online and we'd be seeing a lot more advertising for them.

“No question that four lines of unlimited at $70/month is an eye-popping offer, but there are caveats.  This requires four lines, bringing four phones, and autopay, so it isn’t as simple as it sounds.  Also, this seems to be a regional or trial offer, as it is not available at all Cricket stores.  One possibility is that it could be a trial balloon for a holiday offer.” – Jeff Moore, Principal of Wave7 Research
