Consumer Cellular is offering new customers two months of free service when they purchase any phone and activate an account by July 31, 2024, on approved credit.
A heavy dose of advertising is backing the offer. Two new TV ads launched in June to support it; "Best Things In Life, Two Summer Promo," and "Easy To Win: Two Months Free," while an older ad was relaunched with a new ending that pitches the two-month free offer. Together, the ads have already combined to air over 6500 times. Wave7 Research highlighted this promotion in a prepaid report the firm sent its subscribers.
Buy Any Phone Get Two Free Months Offer Details
Unfortunately, the two-month free deal is slightly harder to obtain than past offers from Consumer Cellular. Customers will only be able to claim it by calling the MVNO on the phone at 1-888-511-3894 or by visiting a Consumer Cellular store. BestMVNO reported in April that Consumer Cellular had opened 25 stores. The store count has since increased to 29, with Wave7 Research noting a more recent store opening in Pompano Beach, FL. The company has branded stores in Arizona, Connecticut, Florida, Maryland, Missouri, North Carolina, Nevada, Pennsylvania, and Texas.
The two-month free offer will come as a service credit marked on the subscriber's 2nd and 3rd invoices. Only one promotion is allowed per account. Customers who previously subscribed to Consumer Cellular in the past 90 days are ineligible for this deal.
The carrier has about 20 phones stocked with six of them being iPhones. In fact, one of the new Consumer Cellular TV ads pitches the two free months offer as available with the purchase of any iPhone.
The cheapest iPhone they sell is the iPhone SE 3rd gen for $429. The Nokia C110 and Moto G Play 2024 are the cheapest Android smartphones available priced at $99 apiece.
Just days ago Consumer Cellular announced the release of the Moto G Stylus 5G for $249. Financing options are available with all phone purchases.
Consumer Cellular phone plans start at $20/month after a $5/month autopay and e-billing discount. The starter plan includes 1GB of high-speed data. The MVNO operates using the AT&T network. The brand is sold through national retail stores including Walmart and Target, however, this deal is not available at either store.
“This is a new wrinkle from Consumer Cellular, getting two months free for buying a phone. More commonly, Consumer Cellular offers a credit for new lines of service.” – Jeff Moore, Principal of Wave7 Research
