In March 2023, BestMVNO reported that Boost Mobile had begun activating some customers on the "Boost 5G Network," DISH's native 5G network. That was followed up with an announcement from Boost Mobile in May, marking the release of the Motorola Edge+ 2023. The Edge+ was the first phone from Boost to be actively marketed as being compatible with the Boost 5G network. The Moto G Stylus 5G was the second device and was announced in August 2023. Today, Boost Mobile put out a press release to announce the third device compatible with its native network, the Moto G 5G 2023.
The Moto G 5G 2023 has launched on Boost Mobile with a list price of $189.99. It's available both online and through dealers. Existing customers can upgrade to the phone in stores for $79.99, new customers can get it online for the same price. New customers who purchase the device at a Boost Mobile store will get it for free.
“Performance is key when you’re talking about streaming music or video chatting. DISH had until June 14, 2023, to meet an FCC mandate to cover 70% of the population with its own 5G network. On June 15, 2023, DISH announced that it met the deadline and that its native network was available to use in over 50 markets nationwide. It released its first network-compatible phone a couple of weeks before the deadline. And now it has two more phones that are "Boost 5G Network" compatible. To check if DISH's native 5G network is available in your area, you can visit DISH's Project Genesis website. Network availability may not be a guarantee that Boost Mobile will give you a SIM to use on its native network. Boost Mobile uses the T-Mobile and AT&T networks in most markets for coverage.
