Last month, Black Wireless came out with a terrific offer giving new subscribers an unlimited everything plan with 50GB of high-speed data for $16.67/month. That deal has now been retired, and Black Wireless has completely updated its phone plan lineup with an even bigger emphasis on its multi-month plan offerings. Black Wireless has been offering multi-month plans since at least January of 2018.
Changes To Black Wireless's Phone Plans Highlighted
Black Wireless is offering three main phone plans that start at $15.00/month if paid for a year in advance. Below is a summary of what the updated plans look like. All plans shown include unlimited talk, text, and data with the specified amount of data at 4G LTE data speeds before throttling to 128Kbps. Unlimited international talk and text to over 65 countries is also included with each plan.
1GB Plan Options
Options previously came with 100MB of high-speed data.
- By the month - $20, no pricing changes
- 6 months - $16.67/month, $100 due upfront. Old pricing averaged $16/month
- 12 months - $15/month, $180 due upfront. No change in pricing
3GB Plan Options
Options previously came with 1GB of high-speed data.
- By the month - $24, previously $25
- 6 months - $20.00/month, $120 due upfront. No pricing change
- 12 months - $16.67/month, $200 due upfront. Previously averaged $18.75/month
5GB Plan Options
Options previously came with 2.5GB of data.
- By the month - $30, no pricing changes
- 6 months - $25/month, $150 due upfront. Old pricing averaged $24/month
- 12 months - $22.92/month, $275 due upfront. Old pricing averaged $22.50/month
A $2 call anywhere credit is also included with all plans. Taxes and fees cost extra.
Black Wireless does offer a couple of other plans, but the MVNO doesn't seem to be putting much emphasis on them. The other plans are as follows:
Data Plus Plan
Includes 200 domestic and international minutes with unlimited texting. Includes unlimited data with the first 500MB at high-speeds. Update - Black Wireless tells me this plan does not come with 200 domestic and international minutes with unlimited texting, but rather 200 service units that can be divided up for use with texting and voice.

Smart Saver Plan
Includes 500 domestic and international minutes with unlimited texting. Includes 100MB of hard-capped data.
