It seems that multi-month discount plans are all the rage these days. A trend that was perhaps popularized by Mint SIM. Now Black Wireless has become another in a growing list of MVNO carriers to jump on that bandwagon.
Black Wireless currently offers 6 monthly phone plans. All of those phone plans can now be bought with multi-month discounts when purchased for either 6 or 12 months of service in advance.
Black Wireless operates on the AT&T network and is powered by Red Pocket Mobile. Much like Red Pocket Mobile, the company focuses on selling phone plans that are geared towards those who have a need for international calling and texting. All of Black Wireless's phone plans include international talk and text to 74 countries. The number of international minutes and text messages available on each plan is equal to the number of domestic minutes and text messages that plan has. With that in mind, here is what each Black Wireless phone plan looks like, with the multi-month discounts highlighted:
Black Wireless Single And Multi-Month Plans
- $10/month - 500 minutes, 500 texts, 100 MB 4G LTE data, bonus $2 international call anywhere credit. If purchased for 6 months priced at $48 or $8/month. If purchased for 12 months priced at $90 or $7.5/month.
- $15/month - 200 minutes, 200 texts, unlimited data with the first 500MB at 4G LTE speeds. Bonus $2 international call anywhere credit. If purchased for 6 months priced at $72 or $12/month. If purchased for 12 months priced at $135 or $11.25/month.
- $20/month - unlimited talk and text. 100 MB of 4G LTE data. Bonus $2 international call anywhere credit. If purchased for 6 months priced at $96 or $16/month. If purchased for 12 months priced at $180 or $15/month.
- $25/month - unlimited talk, text and data with the first 1GB at 4G LTE speeds. Bonus $2 international call anywhere credit. If purchased for 6 months priced at $120 or $20/month. If purchased for 12 months priced at $225 or $18.75/month.

The Fine Print
Black Wireless only allows each customer account to call up to 10 unique international numbers each billing cycle. The $2 international call anywhere credit that is available on most plans is for the first month of service only. After the first month, the call credit gets reduced to $1. Tethering is prohibited. The plans include all taxes and fees except for sales tax, which varies based on location.
