Xfinity Mobile's currently has several deals running, and most seem to be either complete rehashes of older offerings or slight updates to them. Deals being featured include a $300 Samsung Galaxy promotion, save $300 when you buy a Google Pixel offer, $200 price reduction on the LG G8 ThinQ, and a $50 BYOD credit.
$300 Samsung Galaxy Promo Details
This offer is a variation on a deal that was also made available by Xfinity Mobile at about this time last year. Last year's deal gave customers a $250 gift card when they pre-ordered select Samsung Galaxy devices. With this year's offer update, existing lines that upgrade to an eligible Samsung Galaxy device will receive a $300 prepaid card. And new subscribers that port-in and activate a line of service will receive $300 off the purchase of an eligible Samsung Galaxy device.
Offers Fine Print
Both offers are valid until 4/5/2020.
To get $300 off a phone, customers must purchase their device on a 24 month Xfinity Mobile device payment plan and activate a new line of service with number port-in within 30 days of purchasing the device. Device credits will then be applied to the subscriber's account over the course of 24 months. If the line gets canceled for any reason or monthly device payments go above and beyond what is required, the balance of credits associated with the device payment will be forfeited.
Current customers who wish to upgrade to a Samsung Galaxy device must activate it within 30 days of ordering. The customer's existing phone must be paid off in full if a new one is purchased online or pre-ordered. If purchased at an Xfinity Mobile store, a minimum of a 50% down payment is required and an upgrade fee may apply. Upgrade fees are charged based on if the customer's previous device has been paid off or not. Applicable upgrade fees may include:
- Upgrading from an Apple device, the fee is $30
- Upgrading from an LG device, the fee is $50
- Upgrading from a Samsung device, the fee is $70
- Upgrading from a Motorola device, the fee is $50
The following phones are $300 discount and $300 prepaid card eligible. Not all phones, such as the Samsung Galaxy S9 offer, are currently available online.
- Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G, full price $1399.99, monthly installment $45.83
- Galaxy S20+ 5G, full price $1199.99, monthly installment $37.49
- Galaxy S10+, full price $849.99, monthly installment $849.99
- Galaxy S10, full price $749.99, monthly installment $18.74
- Galaxy S10e, full price $599.99, monthly installment $12.49
- Galaxy Note 10, full price $949.99, monthly installment $27.08
- Galaxy Note 10+, full price $1099.99, monthly installment $33.33
- Galaxy Note 9, full price $799.99, monthly installment $20.83
- Galaxy S9, full price $499.99, monthly installment $8.33
Monthly installment plans include 0% APR over 24 months.
Save $300 When You Buy A Google Pixel
This offer is valid until 3/22/2020. The offer has the exact same fine print already listed above for new customers purchasing a Samsung Galaxy device. That means this offer is available to new customers only, with port-in.
Xfinity Mobile only has two Google Pixel devices available for purchase.
- Google Pixel 4, full retail price $799.99, monthly installment $20.83
- Google Pixel 4 XL, full retail price $899.99, monthly installment $24.99
$200 Price Reduction On The LG G8 ThinQ
This offer doesn't really have any fine print. The 128GB LG G8 ThinQ is $579.99 down from $779.99 or $24.16/month on an installment plan. The phone is also available unlocked direct from Best Buy right now for $549.99, so the Xfinity Offer doesn't seem like much of a deal to me.
$50 BYOD Credit
The BYOD credit is pretty much an ongoing offer from Xfinity Mobile. It's tentatively scheduled to end on 3/22/2020. The only thing that's changed from the last time it was covered here, are that some new devices are now eligible for the BYOD program. If you have one of the eligible devices, you may be able to bring it on over to Xfinity Mobile with number port-in for a $50 Visa prepaid card.
Xfinity Mobile no longer explicitly lists exactly which phones are eligible for the credit except to say that iPhones starting at model 6 and newer may be eligible as are select Samsung Galaxy devices and Google Pixel devices. Xfinity Mobile says to confirm device eligibility you need to use their IMEI device compatibility checker.
Xfinity Mobile is an MVNO that uses Verizon's towers to provide cellular service. Plans start at $12/month for unlimited talk and text with 1GB of data.
