T-Mobile has launched a new limited time offer on an unlimited LTE data prepaid plan. Subscribers can now get unlimited LTE data for just $50/month. Back in September T-Mobile reduced the price of a $50 prepaid plan with 10GB of LTE data to $40/month. The new unlimited plan appears to fill the void left at that $50 price point. In addition to the unlimited plan promotion, T-Mobile continues to give away free phones to those who purchase a $100 ePin or service credit.
T-Mobile Unlimited LTE Data Prepaid Plan Offer Details
T-Mobile says that the plan is for a limited time, although no end date has been given for it. It has a data prioritization policy applied after 50GB of data has been consumed in a month. That means data speeds temporarily slow down any time after that when the network becomes congested with traffic. Video streaming on the plan is restricted to a maximum resolution of 480p. Mobile hotspot/tethering is unlimited but restricted to 3G data speeds which should be about 512Kbps. No LTE hotspot data is provided.
Free Phone Offer
T-Mobile Prepaid has been running a free phone promo for the past couple of months. Subscribers can pair a free phone with T-Mobile's new prepaid unlimited plan offer.
The following phones are being given away for free with the purchase of either a $100 ePin or service credit.
- LG Aristo 2
- Moto E5 Play
- T-Mobile REVVL
All phones appear to be regularly priced at $150. Customers are responsible for paying any applicable taxes on the device including sales tax. This is an in-store only offer and T-Mobile says a $10 SIM starter kit and first month of qualifying service may be required to claim the free phone. T-Mobile has not said how much longer the free phone offer will be available for, but it has run similar promotions throughout the year such as this one.
