Selectel Wireless Announces New Plans and Free iPhone 4

Selectel Wireless, a no contract wireless provider operating on Verizon's network has announced several plan changes as well as a new promotion.

First the plan changes:

$30 Plan will now Include 1500 voice minutes with unlimited text, and 1GB of 4G LTE data (previously 1300 talk and 500 MB LTE data)
$40 Plan will include unlimited talk, text, and 2GB of data (previously 1GB)
$55 Plan will include unlimited talk, text, and 5GB of data (previously 3GB)
$70 Plan will include unlimited talk, text, and 7GB of data (previously 5 GB)

All Selectel plans include domestic roaming for voice and SMS, which is something that differentiates this MVNO from other Verizon MVNO's.

As for the promotion, Selectel is offering the 8GB iPhone 4 free of charge and with free activation as opposed to the usual charge of $25. The promotion will last throughout the weekend.

Of all the plan changes, the new $40 plan appears to be the best value. That plan includes 2GB of 4G LTE data and that is the most amount of data you can get on Verizon's network with unlimited talk and text. Those who want more data but don't need all the talk and text may find EcoMobile to be a better value as you can get 3GB of 4G LTE data for $35 with their service although you must not use talk or text to reach that data amount.
