Boost Mobile has launched a new deal available exclusively through its national retail partners. The firm Wave7 Research observed signage promoting a "get your second-month free" offer in California and Kansas area Walmart stores. The Walmart store sign informs customers that they can get their second month of service for free when they buy ANY Boost Mobile phone and sign up for auto-pay billing. The offer is valid with all Boost Mobile monthly plans. The second month free offer was also seen with minor signage attached to select phones at Target. According to a Boost Mobile promo page it's at Best Buy too. Eligible phones vary by store.
The deal appears to be available both online and in physical stores. According to the Boost Mobile offer redemption page, the second month free offer will run through May and end on 5/31/23 and is for new customers only. There may be slight variations on the exact end date depending on where the customer purchases a device.
Below are the available Boost Mobile branded phones offered with the promo in each store.

By far, the largest selection of phones is available at Walmart. And Wave7 Research notes that Walmart is also where Boost Mobile is now more heavily promoting its $40 "unlimited data" plan. Wave7 Research has seen new signage at the store touting it. The $40 service offering (with autopay enabled) gives customers unlimited talk and text, 35GB of monthly high-speed data before throttling to 512Kbps, and an allowance of 12GB of mobile hotspot.
Best Buy, Target, and Walmart are also offering Boost's 3-month plan with 5GB of monthly high-speed data at a big discount. Best Buy and Target both have it for $14.99, while Walmart has it for $14.88. The plan normally costs $44.99 at the former two stores and $44.88 at the latter.
“It wasn’t long ago that Boost had no presence at national retail beyond Walmart. Now, we are seeing Boost displays with phones also at Best Buy and Target. The next level is solid promotions such as these, which is showing a serious effort to compete at national retail.” – Jeff Moore, Principal of Wave7 Research
