Optimum Mobile, formerly Altice Mobile, is currently running several promotions. One offer will get new and existing lines bonus data for 5-months on Optimum's mid-tier plan. Customers will get 5GB of data instead of the plan's regular allotment of 3GB. Other offers include a free Motorola One 5G Ace for new lines, and $100 off the iPhone 12 and $200 off an iPhone 12 mini. Each offer has a little bit of fine print to dig into.
Bonus Data Offer Fine Print
Optimum Mobile normally charges $6 for a 1GB high-speed data top up and thus $12 for 2GB. Under the terms of this limited time promotion, new and existing customers on Optimum's $22 (plus taxes & fees) 3GB plan will automatically have 2GB of top-up data added to their accounts. They will then receive $12 in statement credits to cover the cost of the top-up for a maximum of 5-months. After 5-months is up, the data on the plan will revert back to having just 3GB with no top-up. If before the 5-months is up, the customer chooses to upgrade or downgrade their plan, they will forfeit the $12 statement credit and top-up. The statement credit will appear on the second billing cycle. Customers who are not Optimum or Suddenlink internet/cable subscribers will pay an additional $10/month for the plan bringing the total to $32/month. Optimum Mobile primarily uses the T-Mobile network for coverage.
Free Motorola One 5G Ace Offer
In order to qualify for a free Motorola One 5G Ace from Optimum Mobile, customers must activate a new line of service at the time of purchasing the phone. Optimum Mobile will issue statement credits of $9.72/month over 36 months to make the device free. Customers who cancel their service before the time frame is up will forfeit the credits and any balance due on the phone must then be paid. Those wishing to purchase the device will have the option to either finance it for $9.72/month over 36 months or to pay the full retail price of the phone with $349.99 due up front.
