Ultra Mobile is running an "up to 33% off" monthly plans sale. There is currently a countdown timer on Ultra's website that suggests the sale will end early next week. However, the fine print for the promotion says that it will be available until 5/19/21. It also says that each week a different plan will be featured on Ultra's homepage with a special discount. The countdown timer is only to highlight the week's "featured deal."
Ultra Mobile's sale will get you up to 33% off your first month of service on any of the 6-monthly phone plans it offers. Ultra also offers multi-month savings discounts in 3, 6, and 12-month increments. They are not included as part of the sale.
33% Off Discounts Highlighted
Here are the plans being offered on sale with the discount pricing showcased.
- $10 (reg $15) - 250MB of data
- $14 (reg $19) - 2GB of data + $1.50 international calling credit
- $19 (reg $24) - 3GB of data + $1.50 international calling credit(this week's featured plan)
- $25 (reg $29) - 6GB of data + $5 international calling credit
- $30 (reg $39) - 30GB of data + $5 international calling credit
- $40 (reg $49) - 40GB of data + $5 international calling credit
All plans include unlimited talk, text, and data with the specified amount of data available at up to 5G data speeds before throttling to 2G data speeds. All plans also include unlimited talk and text to over 80 countries. Select plans include international calling credits to call countries not included in the 80+ that are free. The plans are mobile hotspot capable. Hotspot draws from each plan's high-speed data allotment. You can use all the high-speed data available with each plan for hotspot except for the 40GB data plan. With the 40GB plan, only 10GB of data can be used for hotspot. Plans with 2GB of high-speed data or more include a 1-time $5 international roaming credit. Ultra Mobile's phone plans also include WiFi calling and texting. Taxes and fees cost extra.

It looks like the monthly plan discounts are probably an attempt to hook you into a longer-term commitment similar to the way Ultra Mobile's sister brand, Mint Mobile offers them. Mint Mobile offers introductory pricing on its plans for new customers that is equal to the discounts offered on their 12-month plans. In the case of this Ultra Mobile sale, the monthly plans are also discounted to match what pricing would be if you committed to 12-months of service on a given plan.
