Total Wireless 50% off single lines when you bring your own device to the network continues. It's been running since September 2024. The provider has now expanded their promos for customers with two lines. Two new lines on any Total Wireless unlimited plan will receive a $20/month discount on the combined price of their plans with a five year price lock. This means you can get two unlimited 5G data lines for as little as $60/month, taxes and fees included.

The offer is also available to customers needing a new device. Customers porting in their numbers can get two free 5G phones. A press release from Verizon says the offer is available exclusively in Total Wireless stores, however, I was able to get at least part of the offer online by adding any two of the same plans with physical SIM cards to my shopping cart. The discounts were then automatically applied. Without SIM cards, the automatic discount would not trigger.

I could not test the free phone offers that are available online to see if the discounts would still be applied. Total Wireless requires a number port to get them and they validate the number you'd like to port by sending you an SMS message before you can add one of their free phones to your shopping cart. Most of my lines are currently with Total Wireless so I did not have two extra numbers to input into their system.

Total Wireless Continues to Take Aim At Cricket Wireless and Metro by T-Mobile Customers

Total Wireless continues to target their offers to both Metro and Cricket Wireless customers by advertising "Save 50% off Metro and Cricket. Guaranteed" on the front page of the Total Wireless website. Although I have to say their tagline guarantee isn't 100% accurate.

Metro by T-Mobile just updated their plans to price match Total Wireless's plans before any special offers are applied. However, Metro by T-Mobile and Cricket Wireless both offer truly unlimited 5G data plans to BYOD customers for $25/month, which matches the rate for 50% off Total Wireless's mid-tier unlimited plan. Cricket's plan requires the prepayment of a year of service in advance to get it. Metro's plan is only available in stores. For those reasons, both offers are at a disadvantage when compared to Total Wireless's BYOD offer.

Total Wireless plans are also a better overall value at that price point as they provide additional features not offered by either of the two other brands. Total's $25 BYOD plan includes unlimited priority 5G data, and 1080p video streaming and possibly 4K UHD in some circumstances. It also includes hotspot which isn't found with either other provider.

Total Wireless two line plans are also now $20-$25/month cheaper than Metro's and are discounted even further when compared to Cricket.

Free Phone Bundled With Three Month Plan Offer Expanded to iPhone 13

In January, BestMVNO reported that Total Wireless was trialing two and three month plans with the purchase of discounted phones through Total Wireless dealers and in national retail stores like Walmart.

Total Wireless is now making it known on its homepage that three month plans exist with the advertisement of a free iPhone 13. To get a free iPhone 13 customers must purchase a three month plan of either Total's Total 5G Unlimited ($50/month) or Total 5G Unlimited ($60/month) plan. Bundling multiple months of service with the discounted phones allows Total Wireless to recoup the underlying cost of its "free" phone offers. Previously, this offer was available in stores only.

Save When You Bundle Total Wireless With Verizon Fios

Total Wireless's website is also now promoting that customers can save $15/month on Verizon Fios Home Internet when bundling with a Total Wireless phone plan. The offer is labeled as "coming soon" and will be available in select locations. Verizon announced in February that it would be offering Fios Home Internet discounts through its Verizon Value Brands starting in May. Wave7 Research covered the bundle offering in its latest prepaid report.
