Total by Verizon is set to launch its first free phone offers beginning on 10/1/22. That's less than two weeks after the brand's official launch on 9/21/22.

There will be several free 5G phone offers available and the Samsung Galaxy S22+ will be heavily discounted to $699.99. Marketing material suggests the free phone deals will be Total by Verizon's first set of in-store-only dealer offers. It's not clear from the marketing materials if the discounted Samsung Galaxy S22+ will also be in-store only.

Free 5G Phone Offer Details

Total by Verizon has not specified exactly which 5G phones will be made available for free other than that they will be Samsung and Motorola devices. However, based on an early advertisement for the deals, it looks like the Samsung Galaxy A13 5G and Motorola Stylus 5G are two of the phones. The Motorola one 5G UW ace is possibly the other. You can take your best guess by looking at the photo at the top of the article.

The free 5G phone deals are scheduled to run from 10/1/22 until 12/31/22. In order to get the deals, you'll have to meet a few requirements. The offers are available to new lines of service and for customers that port a number in. Subscribers must also pass ID verification, purchase an unlimited plan, and sign up for auto-refill. Taxes and fees are extra.

Total by Verizon offers two unlimited plans that qualify for this deal. The plans are shown in the table below.

The Samsung Galaxy S22+ will be discounted to $699.99 from its current price of $999.99. This deal will also run from 10/1/22 until 12/31/2022. It has about the same requirements as the free 5G phone offers. Customers must activate a new line on an unlimited plan or port-in to an unlimited plan, and pass ID verification. Autorefill doesn't look like it will be a requirement to get the deal. However, customers that enable autorefill do save 5% a month on their wireless plans.

It is like they really want to complete the massacre of this brand. First they kill all the good plans and make it into some verizon prepaid wannabe. Remove half the phones and keep old iphone prices so everything is more expensive than it should be. Then they want to do in store only dealer only deals like the nonsense that metro by tmobile clings onto. NO THANK YOU VERIZON.

Isn’t the regular price of the iPhone 12 $600? It’s definitely not $829.
