Ting Mobile SIM cards can actually be bought in stores like Target and Best Buy. They are also available for purchase online through each store's website. Customers buying their SIM cards in either store get $30 in account credits. Normally, both retail giants sell Ting SIM Cards for $9.99. But right now, Target is selling Ting's SIM card for $1 and Best Buy has it for $0.99. And those are great deals because thanks to the $30 account credit, you can essentially get a free month of service when you purchase them.
Back in November, Ting announced some greatly improved wireless plans. The DISH backed MVNO now has four wireless plans available for purchase. The options are:
- Flex Plan - $10/month plus $5 per GB of 4G LTE/5G data
- Set 5 Plan - $25/month includes 5GB of 4G LTE/5G data plus hotspot
- Unlimited Basic - $45/month, 22GB of 4G LTE/5G data, includes up to 12GB of hotspot
- Unlimited Pro - $60/month, 35GB of 4G LTE/5G data, includes up to 30GB of hotspot
All plans include unlimited talk and text. The Set 5 and two unlimited plans also include unlimited data with the specified amount of data available at high-speeds each month before throttling to 2G data speeds. The plans are available for use on the customer's choice of either the Verizon or T-Mobile networks.
If you buy your SIM card from Target or Best Buy, you may be able to get multiple months of free service depending on which plan you subscribe to. However, the $30 account credit does not get applied to the customer's account immediately. It gets awarded for their second month's bill. So, subscribers interested in this deal will have to pay for their first month of service before they can get that free month.
