Tello Mobile updated its wireless plans today. The BestMVNO featured plan includes unlimited talk, text, and data with the first 4GB at 4G LTE data speeds for $19/month. The plan also includes mobile hotspot, and unlimited calling to Canada, China, and Mexico.
Tello Mobile's Plan Changes Highlighted
Tello Mobile doesn't sell phone plans in the traditional sense. The Sprint powered MVNO allows its subscribers to custom build their own phone plans. Subscribers have the option of building a data only plan with unlimited texting, a talk and text plan, or one with talk, text, and data. Tello has assured me that the data only plans also include unlimited texting even though it's not clearly shown on their website.
If you don't want to configure your own plan, Tello also sells some popular preconfigured unlimited plans. Those plans with their changes highlighted are defined below:
- $10/month - 1GB LTE data, previously priced at $14/month
- $14/month - 2GB LTE data, previously priced at $19/month
- $19/month - 4GB LTE data, previously priced at $29/month
- $24/month - 6GB LTE data, previously included 3GB LTE data at price point
- $29/month - 8GB LTE data, previously included 4GB LTE data at price point
- $39/month - 12GB LTE data, previously included 10GB
All plans highlighted by BestMVNO include unlimited talk, text, and data with the specified amount of data at 4G LTE data speeds before throttling to 64Kbps. All plans also include mobile hotspot and unlimited calling to Canada, Mexico, and China. Taxes and fees are not included in the prices shown. When I reviewed Tello, taxes and fees added an additional $2.26 to my bill on the $24 plan.
The rest of Tello's plan combinations are shown in the graphic below.
Tello Mobile has always offered excellent value to consumers, and today's changes make Tello an even better value. The MVNOs unlimited plans are some of the cheapest prepaid pay by the month plans on the market.
“Hello” above should be Tello
Do you know when Tello lowered their paygo voice from .03/min. to .01/min? I noticed it last week but can’t recall seeing articles or even getting an announcement email from Tello.
I think they have expanded their included foreign calling destinations?
