Tello Mobile is offering a discount to new customers on a couple of its phone plans. Their 2GB plan is available for $10 marked down from $14. The company's 5GB plan has been discounted down to $15. It's regularly priced at $19. The discounts are only available for the customer's first month of service. After that, subscribers will be charged the regular rate for each plan.
Both plans include unlimited talk, text, and data with data speeds reduced to 2G (64Kbps - 128Kbps) for the remainder of the subscriber's billing cycle after the 5G data allotment has been consumed. Plans also allow all their data to be used for mobile hotspot. Tello's phone plans include free international calling to over 60 countries. A total of 1,000 minutes can be used in a 30-day billing cycle for international calls.
Tello Mobile was founded in 2015, and is a subsidiary of KeepCalling, a global telecommunications company that registered in the USA market in 2002. Tello is an MVNO that uses the T-Mobile network for coverage. In 2020, the company announced it had surpassed 100,000 subscribers. Their plans are available online only and are not sold in stores or through dealers. They regularly advertise on social media and with video streaming ads. Their YouTube channel has just 6k subs, but many of their videos in the past year have viewed hundreds of thousands of times each.
