Back in June of 2021, Tello ran a promo that offered new customers 25% off for their first 6-months of service on any plan. It was one of their more successful promos, and so they've opted to bring it back.
Through January 31, 2022, new lines and new customers will once again get 25% off for 6-months. Tello has added an extra stipulation for this promo. Customers who purchase a plan more than once a month will only get a discount for their first 6 orders. In addition to the returning promo, Tello has also been running a new digital streaming video ad. Tello's latest ad targets a more generalized audience in contrast to some of its ads from a few months back that targeted both college students and seniors.
Tello's Updated 25% Off For 6-Months Promo Details
There really isn't a whole lot of fine print associated with the promo other than what's already been described. It's for new customers and new lines of service only. Customers can change plans at any time and still retain their discounts going forward. Tello does allow subscribers to custom-build their own plans. Some of their more popular plan options with discounted pricing highlighted include the following:
- $7.50/month (reg $10) - 1GB high-speed data
- $10.50/month (reg $14) - 2GB high-speed data
- $14.30/month (reg $19) - 4GB high-speed data
- $18.00/month (reg $24) - 6GB high-speed data
- $21.80/month (reg $29) - 8GB high-speed data
- $29.30/month (reg $39) - 25GB high-speed data
Although this offer is scheduled to end on January 31st, Tello did extend the promo several times the last time they ran it. So don't be surprised if they do the same thing here. As an alternative to this promo, Tello does have a few other offers available through the Stack Social network. One such offer gives customers nearly 50% off when they prepay for 6-months of service on Tello's 2GB plan. The plan is just $8.16/month through Stack Social.
Tello's New Digital Streaming Ad
Tello's latest streaming ad launched about two weeks ago. It's obtained 14k views on YouTube since that time. The ad basically just describes Tello's plans and features. It shows a phone browsing Tello's website with a narrator explaining how everything works. You can watch it below.
Tello's YouTube channel has just 3.88k subscribers. But it still does periodically invest heavily for its size in digital media. An ad it aired in November targeting college students got more than 371k views.
Tello is an MVNO that operates on the T-Mobile network.
