Sprint MVNO RingPlus has entered the world of crypto currencies. They are now the only cell phone service provider in the USA to accept Bitcoin, Litecoin, and Dogecoin. Whether this turns out to be a good idea for RingPlus remains to be seen. Though legal, the crypto currencies are technically not even treated as cash by the IRS but rather property's subject to capital gains tax. The value of the currency has certainly had big ups and downs and there are those who feel the bottom may one day fall out from under them. On the other side, it does seem that more and more businesses every day accept the currency.
To refresh, RingPlus has plans ranging in price from $1.99 to $33. Currently I have their $33 plan ranked as their best value plan as it offers unlimited talk and text and 2.5 GB LTE data. All of their plans also come with free voicemail to sms or text transcription as well as with "RingPlus Radio" which allows you to hear music or other content while you wait for the party you are calling to answer the phone. On occasion as part of their special promotions they even offer a free service plan. So does RingPlus's decision to accept digital currencies affect your opinion of them?
