Lyca Mobile has made some changes to its retail presence, as noted in a report Wave7 Research recently sent to its subscribers. The T-Mobile-based provider recently stopped selling its SIM cards at CVS. However, Lyca Mobile has started offering its SIMs through Target stores where it's marketing them as including a free trial. The free trial isn't entirely free though since the SIM kit costs $4.99. Customers who purchase a kit from Target can redeem their "7-day free trial offer" for 300 minutes, 300 texts, and 300 MB of high-speed data by visiting https://www.lycamobile.us/en/7daysfree/. The MVNO announced the new offering a couple of weeks ago via social media posts like this one on Facebook. Wave7 Research analysts have thus far observed the SIMs on Target displays in three states.
Lyca Mobile is also offering several deals online. Its flagship offer is for 60GB of high-speed data for $14.75/month for a customer's first six months of service. The plan also includes unlimited international calling and texting to over 100 countries and is regularly priced at $59/month. Other offers include a plan with 40GB of high-speed data for $12.25/month for six months and 12GB for $10/month for three months.

Additionally, Lyca Mobile is now the principal sponsor of the Seattle Orcas, a Major League Cricket team. The company disclosed its sponsorship via a post on X in mid-July. This isn't the first time Lyca has partnered with a professional sports franchise. In 2019, the MVNO signed a multi-year multi-million dollar partnership with the Jacksonville Jaguars of the NFL expanding on a relationship it first started in 2017.
Lyca Mobile is a global brand headquartered in London England. The company sells wireless services in 23 countries and boasts of having over 16 million customers globally. Its USA division will be making an appearance at this year's All Wireless & Prepaid Expo in Las Vegas next month. Aside from being sold in Target stores, Lyca Mobile is available through its network of wireless dealers.
