Red Pocket is an MVNO that operates on all 4 major wireless carriers in the USA. The company sells plans through its website, but also has Amazon and eBay exclusive plans. The eBay plans are frequently sold at a discount to their regular prices.
Today, Red Pocket has once again placed several of its eBay plans on sale. Featured plans include a 90 day plan and 2 annual plans.
90 Day Plan
The 90 day plan that is on sale features the following:
- $62 for monthly allotments of unlimited talk and text with 1 GB of hard capped data. This works out to an average cost of $20.67/month. The plan has a list price of $112.50 although it can regularly be found for $69.
Annual Plans
The following annual plans are on sale:
- Annual Essentials Plan - includes monthly allotments of 500 minutes, 500 texts and 500 MB of data. The plan is on sale for $88 and that is priced by the year. It has a list price of $180 although it can regularly be found for $99.
- Annual Basic Plan - includes monthly allotments of 100 minutes, 100 texts and 500 MB of data. The plan is one sale for an annual price of $52. Red Pocket regularly sells this one for $60.
The 3 plans are scheduled to be on sale through November 6, 2017 at 8 AM PST.
Red Pocket's eBay plans are priced to move. The annual plans are some of the best valued plans around for what they have to offer, especially when you consider that they will work on every major carrier network in the USA. In my opinion, this type of plan helps to render the old pay as you go model as being obsolete.
The 90 day plan is also a good value, particularly if you are looking for service with either a Verizon MVNO or AT&T MVNO, and don't require a large amount of data.
I have three yearly plans with them all roughly a month old. I hope that when it’s time to renew them, they will offer the renewal option on their website. The way it’s set up now I would have to buy three new sim card kits on eBay and use the activation code. I don’t need any more sim cards.
I see that they do offer the renewal option only on some of the plans. Just not on the Basic which is what I have.
I’m not sure how that will all shake out down the road.
