Despite it's name, Microsoft's Xbox music pass is available on a variety of devices and its app can be found in the Google Play store for Android and in Apples iOS iTunes store.  Today only, in honor of "pi day" 3/14/2015, Microsoft is selling a one year subscription to its Xbox music pass for $31.41.  I personally have never tried the streaming service to comment on its quality, but at the price they are offering today, I'll surely by signing up for a one year subscription.  My only experience with Xbox music is that I downloaded a dozen or so albums on my pc a few months back when they gave away 100 albums for free.

The Xbox music pass is also available on tablets, the web, your PC and of course the Xbox.  The service includes access to a library of 30 million of add free songs, and if you have an Xbox you'll have access to over 90k videos.  You can also save songs for offline listening so you don't burn through your monthly mobile data allowance.  If you're interested in signing up, the offer is available here.

Not to be completely outdone by Microsoft, Google is also offering a discount on their streaming Google Play music service. Google's all access music service offers a streaming library of 30 million ad free songs that can be listened to on a variety of devices like your Android, or iOS devices as well as on your pc.  The service even allows you to port your iTunes music library over to Google.  Google's sale on its all access music pass runs through Monday, 3/16/2015 where you can sign up for 3 months of service for a grand total of $3!  Like with the Xbox music pass you can download songs to your device so that you don't have to burn through your data.  I don't have any experience using Google Play all access myself, but I'm going to try this deal out as well.  My only familiarity is with the app, as I use that to listen to songs I have on my device.

Both the Xbox Music pass and Google Play Music regularly sell for $9.99/month, and that is what you'll have to pay if you stick with each service after its promotional period is over.

We started on GOOGLE music at a early adopter rate of 7.99 per month and My wife and daughter love the service. The interface is not as slick as others, but they have been steadily improving the service over the last 2 yrs. I have been itching to try SPOTIFY, but have still not gotten around to it. Nice feature of the service is used in conjuction with GOOGLE SEARCH and VOICE… I can tell google to play a certain song by IMAGINE Dragons and it will launch into play. Not sure if spotify does that. Also they support up 10 devices, 5 of those could be smart phones!
