Cricket has announced exclusive availability of the Alcatel IDOL 4, the first smartphone sold with virtual reality goggles included. The bundle will become available on August 5th, priced at $199.99 plus tax with activation of a Cricket Wireless smartphone plan.

- 13 MP rear/main camera with a wide angle 8 MP front facing camera with flash that alleviates the need for a selfie stick

- FM Radio with RDS built in
- 16 GB of internal storage is on board expandable with a microSD card
- 3 GB of RAM
- 2610mAh battery
Virtual Reality Goggles
The Alcatel IDOL 4 is packaged in a special box. The box is actually what becomes your VR goggles. Insert your phone into the box and you can wear it on your head with the included straps.
With the VR headset you'll be able to virtually ski the Alps, take in a concert, view 360° images and videos or play your favorite VR games.
Virtual reality content will be available from the Alcatel VR Store or from VR content pioneer Littlstar.
