Boost Mobile has updated all of its unlimited LTE data plans to include more hotspot data.
Updated Plans
All of Boost Mobile's unlimited LTE data plans include unlimited talk, text and data with 50 domestic voice roaming minutes and some sort of data prioritization policy. Data prioritization is the process of slowing down LTE data speeds during times of network congestion. With the changes in place, Boost Mobile's updated unlimited LTE data plans are described below.
Taxes and fees are included in all prices shown and mobile hotspot data speeds are throttled to 2G once the plans high speed allotment has been consumed.
$50/Month Unlimited Gigs Plan
This plan now comes with 12GB of 4G LTE hotspot data, previously it had 8GB. Video streams are limited to a resolution of 480p, music limited to 500Kbps and gaming streams limited to 2Mbps. Includes always on data prioritization. Additional lines are priced at $30/line. Customers who port a Boost Mobile compatible phone to this plan can get it free for one month.
$60/Month Unlimited Plus Plan
Now includes 30GB of 4G LTE hotspot data. Plan previously came with 20GB. Video streaming is upgraded over the $50 plan to a maximum resolution of 1080p. Remaining features are the same as the $50 unlimited plan. Additional lines are priced at $40/line.
$80/Month Ultimate Unlimited Plan
The ultimate unlimited plan now offers 50GB of 4G LTE hotspot data. Plan previously came with 40GB. Data prioritization is applied after more than 35GB of data has been consumed in a month. Video streams at 1080p, music at up to 1.5Mbps, and gaming at up to 8Mbps. Includes unlimited international calling and texting, priority customer care, and a subscription to Tidal premium music streaming service. Add additional lines for $60/line.
This plan is advertised as a limited time promotional plan that will only be available until 11/15/18. I have my doubts as to whether this will remain a limited time promotional plan. It was previously supposed to be removed as an option back at the end of August. If it has been selling well, it will most likely become a permanent offering.
