In the aftermath of the terrorist attacks that took place in Barcelona, Spain yesterday, Sprint is waiving all fees for its customers, including those with Boost Mobile and Virgin Mobile who need to call or text over to Barcelona. The fees will be waived through Saturday, August 19, 2017. Additionally, Sprint has waived all voice and SMS roaming fees for Sprint subscribers only that are traveling through that area.
Said Sprint CEO Marcelo Claure on the matter:
"Horrific events like the one that took place today in Barcelona occur much too frequently, and our hearts go out to the victims and their families ....We want to do what we can to help our customers stay connected to their friends and loved ones during this terrible time."
AT&T is also waiving all fees for all calls placed to Barcelona for both its wireless and landline customers through August 19th. SMS charges will also be waived for its wireless customers.
