Tracfone continues to use eBay to push new plans and deals that are exclusive to that sales channel. We saw an example of this the other day when the company made several offers available through the platform including one from NET10 that featured unlimited talk and text with 5GB of monthly LTE data for $16.58/month.
Now, Dennis Bournique of Prepaid Compare has noted another new eBay offer from Tracfone. Existing customers can now add one year of service to their accounts with a plan that includes 1200 minutes, 1200 text messages and 3GB of data for $49.99. Previously the offer was a new customer only deal with the SIMs being sold preloaded. However, shortly after the plan was first announced, some SlickDeals forum members said in the past they were able to transfer similar plans to their existing numbers. Yesterday though, Tracfone made it official that the offer is now available for existing customers when they revised the listing to say "variation added: renewal/existing SIM."
The plan continues to be available for use on the subscriber's choice of either the AT&T, T-Mobile or Verizon networks. Shoppers can choose which carrier they'd like to use the plan with prior to checkout. Customers who already have the plan or a Tracfone account can choose "Renewal/ Existing SIM" as their carrier before checking out. As was the case when BestMVNO first covered the plan last month, it is said to be available for a limited time only.
Hey, do you know if the 3gb renews each month?
It looks like you’d have to give up triple minutes for life if you have it to use this plan.
Would this work with Selectel as I noticed Alcatel flip phone say’s tracfone while booting?
Thanks! This is a huge money saver! The regular price for 1500 minutes/1500 texts/1.5GB data is $125 + tax. For me, this was $53 and change, and even though it’s fewer minutes, I have a stockpile of rollover minutes and texts.
