Tello Mobile launched a new offer today to help those out impacted by COVID-19. Through May 29, 2020, all new and current Tello Mobile subscribers will get double data and talk with their plans at no additional cost. The increased talk and data allotments are available immediately.
Tello Mobile allows subscribers to custom build their own phone plans. Customers can choose to build unlimited talk plans or plans with a limited number of minutes, or data-only plans. Subscribers can also add data to a talk plan if they'd like. All Tello plan options include unlimited texting. Obviously those who subscribe to the provider with unlimited talk plans will not benefit from the double minute promo, likewise, those who do not have a plan with data will not benefit from the double data promo.
The Sprint powered provider is recommending new subscribers test out their service by subscribing to their $12/month plan that normally includes 300 minutes, unlimited texting, and 2GB of high-speed data. Through the limited time offer, the plan will come with 600 minutes and 4GB of data. Calls to Canada, Mexico, China, and Romania are included with all plans. Minutes are deducted from the number of domestic minutes available with a subscriber's plan. Those with an unlimited plan will have unlimited calling to each country. Alternatively, customers can upgrade to 1,000 minutes with 4GB of high-speed data for $13/month.
Current customers in the middle of a billing cycle will notice today that the amount of remaining minutes and data in their accounts has been doubled. So a subscriber who had just 400 minutes left and 500MB of data at the end of the day yesterday, will now have 800 minutes left and 1GB of data for the remainder of their billing cycle.
Tello Mobile is also highlighting a few unlimited plans with their new offer.
- $10/month - 2GB of 4G LTE data instead of 1GB
- $14/month - 4GB of 4G LTE data instead of 2GB
- $19/month - 8GB of 4G LTE data instead of 4GB
Also available is a plan with 16GB of data instead of 8GB for $29/month and 12GB instead of 6GB for $24/month.
All plans include unlimited talk, text, and data with the specified amount of data at high-speed before throttling to 2G data speeds. Hotspot usage is permitted.
