Tello Mobile Offering “Sweet October” Plan & Phone Bundle Deals
Tello Mobile has launched three phone and plan bundle deals for the month of October. Tello is referring to the offers as "Sweet October Deals."
The T-Mobile powered MVNO is offering its 5GB phone plan free for one month with the purchase of a phone. The following phone with plan bundle offers are available:
- NUU A11L - $99
- Motorola Moto G Pure certified refurbished - $129
- Samsung Galaxy A10e - $159
The 5GB plan is normally priced at $19/month and includes unlimited talk, text, and data with data speeds throttled to 2G or 64Kbps after the 5GB high-speed data allotment gets surpassed. Tello doesn't offer data add-ons if you use up your high-speed data allotment and need more high-speed data. Instead, they allow you to purchase pay-as-you-go credits. So if you want more high-speed data after your allotment is up you can either change plans or purchase a pay-as-you-go credit. Pay-as-you-go data is billed at a rate of 2¢/MB. Tello's phone plans also include mobile hotspot usage and allow for international calling to over 60 countries.
Tello sells its phones unlocked. The company is advertising all of its bundle deals as being a $20 savings vs buying each phone and plan separately. The NUU A11L bundle offer does appear to be a good deal if you really want that phone as the phone is sold on Amazon for $129.90 vs $99 in the Tello bundle deal. But you may be better off buying the Motorola Moto G Pure direct from Amazon where it's currently on sale brand new for $120.07 vs refurbished for $129 from Tello. The Samsung Galaxy A10e doesn't appear to be available on Amazon brand new but it is available for as low as $87.36 renewed.
