Red Pocket Mobile has launched its Black Friday week offers which are taking place exclusively through the company's eBay store. One featured offer is for an annual plan that includes unlimited talk, text, and data with the first 15GB of data each month at 4G LTE data speeds for $279 or an average cost of $23.25/month. The plan has a regular list price of $399 and normally only comes with 10GB of monthly data at 4G LTE data speeds. Service is provided to customers on their choice of either the AT&T or Sprint networks. Red Pocket Mobile does offer a pay by the month plan with 15GB of data directly through the Red Pocket Mobile website for $40/month. So no matter how you look at it, this is a huge discount.
Red Pocket Mobile's Black Friday Week Offer Highlights
Red Pocket Mobile's Black Friday week offers will actually extend into Cyber Monday week. They launched today (11/25) and will run until 8 AM PST on 12/6/19. The other two offers that will be available exclusively through eBay include the following:
360 Day Ultimate Plan
This annual plan includes unlimited talk, text, and data with the first 5GB of data each month at 4G LTE data speeds. It is available for use on the customer's choice of either the Sprint or AT&T networks and has a list price of $240 or an average cost of $20/month. The plan is now discounted to $195 or an average cost of $16.25/month.
360 Day Basic Plan
The annual basic plan offers customers 100 minutes, 100 texts, and 500MB of data each month on their choice of either the AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile or Verizon networks. It is regularly priced at $60 but is now available for $53 or an average cost of $4.42/month.
Those with an iPhone interested in a Red Pocket Mobile plan on the AT&T network need to be aware that MMS picture messaging will not work without first jailbreaking the iPhone. This is most likely due to Apple policy, not Red Pocket Mobile's.
Red Pocket Mobile's Black Friday - Cyber Monday Offer
Red Pocket Mobile's Black Friday To Cyber Monday offer will begin at 12:01 AM PST on 11/29 and will end at 11:59 PM PST on 12/2. During that time customers will be able to pick up any unlimited Red Pocket Mobile pay by the month plan that is available on the Sprint or AT&T network for just $10 for their first month of service. Consumers will be able to pick from the following options:
- 7GB 4G LTE data, regularly priced at $30/month
- 15GB 4G LTE data, regularly priced at $40/month
- NEW PLAN! - unlimited LTE data, will be regularly priced at $60/month
All plans described include unlimited talk, text, and data with the specified amount of data at 4G LTE data speeds before throttling. The unlimited LTE data plan will likely have some sort of data prioritization policy in place, where if a customer consumes more than a certain amount of data in a month their data speeds will be temporarily slowed during times of heavy network congestion. This is called data prioritization and it occurs with all unlimited LTE plans that are available on the market.
The plans also include unlimited international calling and texting and mobile hotspot. Mobile hotspot is only available on the Sprint network, not with the AT&T network. Those with an iPhone need to be aware that MMS text messaging will not work on the AT&T network. Taxes and fees cost extra.
This year, Red Pocket labeled the some offers as flash sales. They haven’t offered a discount on the 2
GB annual plan. Is it possible they will rotate the discounts to different annual plans later in the week?
