Mint Mobile has launched perhaps its last two TV commercials of the holiday shopping season to promote its offer of buy 3 months get 3 months free. The offer, which launched in mid-November, has been updated with a limited time twist that's highlighted in one of the new TV ads. Customers who purchase a Mint Mobile plan between 12/12/23 and 12/22/23 will receive a coupon for a free 12oz side of bacon from Oscar Meyer. The free side of bacon promotion is sponsored by Kraft Heinz Foods. The other new TV ad does not make mention of the free bacon offer.
Mint Mobile's Side Of Bacon Ad Once Again Features Ryan Reynolds
Mint's latest TV ad launched on 12/12 to coincide with the launch of the free bacon offer. The ad starts off with actor and Mint Mobile co-owner Ryan Reynolds exclaiming that "it's the holidays and Mint has the gift of savings." Reynolds than goes on to state that Mint is offering the gift of savings and customers can buy 3 months and get 3 months free. He continues by informing viewers that it's a great way to save a lot of clams, cheddar, or bread and of course bacon. You can watch the ad below. And if you are interested in the 3 months free offer with a side of bacon you'll find that deal cooking over here.
Mint Mobile's "Holidays: Not Santa: Greg" TV Ad
Mint Mobile's second newly launched tv ad was also released on 12/12. This ad features a new Mint Mobile customer named "Greg" who has somewhat of a resemblance to Santa Claus. Ryan Reynolds is also in the ad and takes note of Greg's appearance. Ryan asks Greg, while insinuating that he's Santa Claus, why he signed up for Mint Mobile. Greg explains he did it because the buy 3 months get 3 months free offer is a great deal, and the service gets great reviews. Reynolds then remarks to Greg that he's not sure if Mint will actually work in the North Pole. Greg gets mad and proclaims he's not Santa. You can check out the ad below.
The two new TV ads could very well be the last new ads from Mint Mobile released this year, as well as the last new TV ads as an independently owned company. In March 2023, BestMVNO reported that T-Mobile agreed in principal to acquire Mint Mobile. The deal is undergoing review by the FCC and DOJ. T-Mobile expects to clear regulatory hurdles and close on the acquisition in early 2024.
"T-Mobile is on track to close its acquisition of Mint Mobile in the first quarter of 2024, accordingto sources familiar with the matter."
There will be likley conditions required what will they be is the question ? pic.twitter.com/EsYsGiT2wQ— Peter Adderton (@peter_adderton) December 5, 2023
I finish a 1 year promo with Mint in Feb 2024. The only way they could keep me as a customer would be to offer me some kind of deal like 3 months free. Noting special about their service. You could get T Mo based service at this price or less elsewhere.
