Mint Mobile considers 3 months of wireless service to be 90 days. To get the free plan, customers must be activating a new line of service. Although the plan will be free, customers will be responsible for paying the taxes and fees associated with it. When I was investigating the offer and went to check out the plan as a new customer, I was assessed $6.65 in taxes and fees. Taxes and fees may vary by a small amount based on location and will primarily vary based on if your state collects specific surcharges associated with wireless services. Mint Mobile offers a breakdown in their terms of service of what they typically charge for taxes and fees for each type of plan and add-on that they sell. The 90-day plan is regularly billed at a rate of $75 or the equivalent of $25/month.
This offer comes with a limit of 4 phones that can be purchased with a free plan. Customers who purchase a phone must activate the free plan within 45 days of purchase. This is one of several deals that are now available involving the iPhone 11. What helps to separate this offer from several of the others is that the iPhones offered here are sold unlocked and customers don't have to be tied to a particular network for an extended period of time in order to take advantage of it.
