Lycamobile has quadrupled the amount of data included with its $29 cell phone plan. The plan now includes unlimited data with the first 4GB at 4G LTE speeds. Previously the plan included unlimited data with the first 1 GB at high speeds.
Lycamobile's Updated Cell Phone Plans
With the change, Lycamobile's cell phone plans now look like this:
- $19 plan – unlimited talk and text, 100 MB at 4G LTE speeds, unlimited talk and text to 60+ countries
- $23 plan – unlimited talk, text and data with 1 GB at 4G LTE, unlimited talk and text to 60+ countries and a $1.50 international calling credit
- $29 plan – unlimited talk, text and data with 4 GB
1 GBat 4G LTE; unlimited talk and text to 65+ countries, $2.50 international calling credit and international bonus minutes - $35 plan – unlimited talk, text and data with 6 GB at 4G LTE, unlimited talk and text to 60+ countries.
- $45 plan – unlimited talk, text and data with 7 GB at 4G LTE, unlimited talk and text to 60+ countries. 200 domestic texts and 200 domestic roaming minutes are also included
- $50 plan – unlimited talk, text and 4G LTE data with data speeds that may temporarily slow down during times of heavy network traffic once more than 32 GB has been consumed in a month. 200 domestic texts and 200 domestic roaming minutes are also included.
Taxes and fees are not included in the prices shown. They cost extra. Lycamobile charges a 5% airtime recovery fee on all of its plans.
Subscribers can save 10% on their phone bills by enabling auto pay billing in their account.

Analysis
Lycamobile's $29 phone plan is now the cheapest monthly phone plan on the market to include unlimited everything with at least 4 GB of data at high speeds. The only way to get a cheaper plan with more data elsewhere is by committing to a multi-month plan. Mint SIM is one such multi-month MVNO provider to offer a cheaper plan.
