As anticipated last week, H2O Wireless has updated its phone plans. Nearly all plans got increased data allotments. The BestMVNO value pick includes unlimited talk, text and data with the first 3GB at high speed for $30/month.
The increased data allotments also impact the 50% off with extra data promotion that H2O Wireless is currently running. The promotion was set to end at the end of September, but has been extended and all plans will now come with longer lasting promotional bonus data. The other thing that will change is the amount of data that you'll get after the promotion ends and the plan reverts back to its normal allotment. So the $30 plan will still come with 4GB of data for the first 3 months of service but now it will drop down to 3GB after the promotion ends instead of 2GB. New customers can still get it for $15 for the first month. Let's review the rest of H2O Wireless's promotions with the new underlying data allotments and bonus offer changes.
H2O Wireless's Updated Phone Plans With Promotional Pricing
All H2O Wireless plans described include unlimited talk, text and data with the specified amount of data at high speed. H2O Wireless considers high speed data to be a maximum of 8Mbps for downloads with no limit on upload speeds. All plans also include unlimited talk and text to over 50 countries.
- $10 - 1GB of data plus a $10 international talk credit. After the first month the plan reverts to its regular price of $20. After the first 3 months it goes back to its regular data allotment of 500MB. Previously only one month of bonus data was included.
- $15 - 4GB of data plus a $10 international talk credit. After the first month the plan reverts back to its regular price of $30. After 3 months it reverts back to its regular data allotment of 3GB. Previously the plan only came with 2GB of high speed data.
- $17.50 - 5GB of data plus a $10 international talk credit. After the first month the plan reverts back to its regular price of $35. After 3 months it reverts back to its regular data allotment of 4GB. Previously the bonus data was only offered for 1 month and the plan had a regular data allotment of 3GB.
- $20 - 8GB of data plus a $20 international talk credit. After the first 3 months the plan reverts to its regular price of $40 and its regular data allotment of 7GB. Previously the plan had a regular data allotment of 6GB and the promotional bonus data was only for 1 month.
- $25 - 8GB of data plus a $10 international talk credit. After the first month the plan reverts to its regular price of $50. No changes noted.
- $30 - 10GB of data plus a $20 international talk credit. After the first month the plan reverts to its regular price of $60. No changes noted.
If you are considering subscribing to one of the plans above, there are a few other things you'll want to be aware of. H2O Wireless operates as an MVNO on the ATT network. Taxes and fees are not included in the prices shown and will cost extra. Video streaming is capped at a maximum resolution of 480p. If you have an iPhone MMS picture messaging won't work without a jailbreak likely due to limitations put in place by Apple.
In order to be eligible for the promotional bonus data allotments and half off pricing you'll have to activate a new line of service or port into one of the eligible plans. The half off pricing is scheduled to be available until 12AM EST on October 12th. The bonus data allotments are scheduled to be available until 3/31/2019.
