ATT/Sprint MVNO Good2Go Mobile became the 20th member to get added to the cheapest cell phone plan list when all of their monthly plans got their data allotments increased. All monthly plans include unlimited talk and text with 100 MMS picture messages and varying amounts of data. Good2Go Mobile qualified for the cheapest prepaid phone plan list when they updated their $30 plan to include 500 MB of 4G HSPA+ (or 3G if on Sprint) when it previously did not include data. The $40 plan got a data boost from 250 MB to 1 GB while the $50 plan got its data amount doubled from 1 GB to 2 GB.
Good2Go Mobile's plans in general aren't particularly impressive except for the $30 plan. The $40 and $50 plans get blown away by ATT's own Cricket Wireless brand where $35 buys you unlimited talk, text and data with the first 2.5 GB being LTE (limited to 8 mbps download speeds). The $30 plan however is one of only two ATT MVNOs to make it to the cheapest cell phone plan list so that's where you can find value if you need to be on ATT's network and don't require boatloads of data.
A summary of Good2Go Mobile's prepaid wireless monthly plans can be found in the infographic below. Extra data can be added to each plan at a rate of $10 for 500 MB and 1 GB for $20.
This might good for others but not for me when it comes to the unlimited int’l sms. AirVoice Wireless seems to be the only ATT MVNO who offers unlimited outgoing global sms to any country at this time. I assume it’s unlimited because I have been texting to friends and family around the globe and so far I have not been notified of any abuse.
If Cricket Wireless would bump their unlimited global sms from 35 countries only to global I would make the jump. I can live with 500MB or 1GB of data since I use it occasionally to look up and address or send pictures.
C’mon Cricket Wireless if you’re listening. It’s you’re move but not holding my breath.
Have you checked red pocket recently? They seem to have more focus on the international community now. They do offer unlimited incoming international texts and 200 outbound per month via ATT. They also are offering unlimited calling to China and Hong Kong, both to mobile and landlines. The fact that they include landlines seems atypical, often just to one or the other is included.
They still don’t meet my requirements. GSMA offers little to no global outgoing sms like you mentioned above. I currently still in a city with bad cell reception when it comes to GSMT services. However, I must say that GSMT services are next to none.
Guess I will just have to wait til I make that move outside the DFW and see if they have sufficient cell towers or if their frequency is much better at penetration buildings.
Thanks for the info.
What are you saying man? I’m on Airvoice wireless too and the signal strength is leagues better than T-mobile or Tmo mvno’s. I took a chance at T mob’s $30 plan with unlimited 4G lte plan. The plan sucks because even though i have lte, i don’t have freakin signal on my phone to use the lte data. I also suspect tmo throttles voip data. From my experience, I would suggest sticking with ATT and ATT mvnos
