Cricket Wireless had a promo reset on 1/10/2020 after several long-standing phone deals officially came to an end on 1/9/2020.  The $399.99 Samsung Galaxy S10 and $9.99 Galaxy A10e lead offers for switchers are now gone.  An offer for a free Samsung Galaxy J2 Pure has taken their place as the featured deal on Cricket's homepage and requires customers to activate on a plan priced $55 or higher.  Lady Red's Tech Reviews did a live stream video breakdown of the changes via YouTube and I have a full breakdown of those changes and more below.

January 10, 2020, Cricket Wireless Phone Deal Pricing Changes Highlighted

In addition to the updated Android phone deals, Cricket also updated a few iPhone deals.  Cricket ended its $100 off any iPhone offer on 1/9 and replaced that offer with the following "deals":

Cricket's iPhone Deal Offers

  • iPhone 6s 32GB - is now $149.99, was previously $49.99
  • iPhone 6s Plus 32GB - $199.99, previously $99.99
  • iPhone 7 32GB - $299.99, previously $199.99

The iPhone deals are the same pricing for all customer types, whether you want to upgrade your device as a current customer or are switching from another provider.

If you are interested in getting one of the port-in deals, there are several things you need to know.  If you intend to port from AT&T or an AT&T MVNO, you can't get a port-in pricing deal.  New line pricing is only available once every 90 days.  Unless stated otherwise, port-in pricing requires customers to port-in to a Cricket Wireless plan priced $30 or higher.  Port in or not, customers that purchase and activate their device in-store may be subjected to up to a $25 activation fee and a $3 customer assistance fee.

It appears that Cricket does not want new customers
