Today Cricket Wireless announced the launch of the ZTE Grand X 3. The device will be available both online and in stores for $129.99 and for $79.99 for those customers who port over to Cricket. Besides the discount on the ZTE Grand X 3 for porting over, new port ins will also get a $50 bill credit within 60 days of service.
Cricket Wireless considers the ZTE Grand X 3 to be a premium device. It features a 5.5" 1280x720 HD "infinity-edge" display, a term which seems to refer to the fact that the phone has minimized bezels around the sides of its screen. Android 5.1.1 Lollipop is on board as is an 8MP rear camera with LED flash. A 2MP selfie camera graces the front of the device. The phone is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 processor with a 3080 mAh battery. The phone comes with 16GB of internal storage expandable with a microSD card and it has 2GB of RAM.
During the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas this year, the ZTE Grand X 3 picked up "top honors," including the Editor's Choice Award from Reviewed.com.
Cricket Wireless runs on AT&T's network with download speeds limited to 8Mbps while upload speeds are at full LTE speeds. Plans start at $35/month after a $5 autopay credit, for unlimited talk, text, and data with the first 2.5GB at LTE speeds.
