Boom! Mobile is sponsoring professional race car driver Taylor Reimer for the 2025 Chili Bowl Nationals taking place between January 13 - 18, 2025, at the Tulsa Expo Center. Reimer's car will sport the Boom! Mobile logo during the event.
Jeff Holley, Boom! Mobile's CEO and founder elected to sponsor Reimer as she "embodies the spirit of hard work, determination, and pride in Oklahoma that drives Boom! Mobile every day." Holley added "We’re thrilled to support her as she competes on one of racing’s biggest stages."
“Boom! Mobile is an exciting, innovative brand, and I’m honored to represent them at the Chili Bowl,” said Reimer. “As a Tulsa native, it’s amazing to team up with a local company that’s making such a big impact.” She added on a Facebook post that she's "very excited to promote Boom! and it’s no contract, low cost alternative for your mobile calling plans."
NASCAR Sponsorships Are a Trend in the Prepaid and MVNO Wireless Space
This isn't Boom! Mobile's first sponsorship of a race car driver. In 2021, Boom! Mobile sponsored Joey Hand with Rick Ware Racing. The company also offered NASCAR fans a special promotion in 2022 with a buy a month of wireless service and get another one for $1 deal. However, there doesn't appear to be any special Boom! Mobile promotions available centered on this particular sponsorship.
Boom! Mobile isn't the only provider to sponsor NASCAR. In July 2024, BestMVNO reported that Straight Talk Wireless would be an official sponsor of the NASCAR Cup Series playoff race in late October 2024. The race took on the name Straight Talk Wireless 400. The sponsorship also included Straight Talk hosting special NASCAR themed events at a handful of Walmart stores and exclusive offers.
Other brands that have sponsored NASCAR drivers include:
- Consumer Cellular - began a sponsorship of Brad Keselowski and RFK racing for the 2024 NASCAR season. There was even a TV ad featuring Keselowski and a Consumer Cellular themed race car
- MobileX - MobileX has sponsored two drivers, Will Brown and RCR racing in 2024, and Brodie Kostecki in 2023.
- Patriot Mobile - Patriot Mobile sponsored JJ Yeley and Rick Ware Racing in 2023.
