Tello Launches 50GB for $10/Month Promo

Tello Mobile has launched its first promo of the new year. New customers can get its flagship 50GB plan for $10/month for their first 6 months. It's normally priced at $25/month which is what you'll pay for it after the promo ends. Taxes and fees cost extra. This represents the largest discount Tello has offered on this plan.

Editor's Take

This is an excellent introductory offer from Tello and one of the cheapest ways right now to get a large data allotment on T-Mobile’s network, at least in the short term. Most prepaid promotions last just one to three months, which often isn’t long enough for some of you to justify the hassle of switching. A six-month promo strikes a much better balance giving you time to settle in and forget about things for awhile before deciding whether to stay or move on to the next deal.

Unfortunately, as the market stands today, the plan’s regular price of $25 per month is no longer top value for a plan with 50GB of data in the prepaid space, given that carrier-owned prepaid brands are offering truly unlimited data at that price. It’s also unfortunate that carriers generally don’t allow, and aren’t required to allow their MVNO partners to truly compete by enabling them to offer unlimited data plans.

Overall, this promo is best suited for deal-seekers who are comfortable reassessing their plan in six months. If you’re looking for a low-cost, high-data option right now, this is one of the best short-term prepaid offers available.
