Red Pocket Mobile's Black Friday week offerings are here. New customers can pick up any Red Pocket Mobile phone plan directly from their website for just $5 for their first month of service. The plans also got updated to have increased data allotments. Another Black Friday offer is the option to purchase any iPhone for $399. That means you can get an iPhone SE for free. The two offers are good until 11/30/2020 or while supplies last. As noted by Dennis Bournique via Twitter, Red Pocket Mobile has also placed its eBay plans on sale.
Red Pocket Mobile Plans On Sale
Red Pocket Mobile offers several monthly phone plans on its website. New customers can now get any plan for just $5. The company provides service to its subscribers by utilizing the customer's choice of either the AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, or Verizon networks. Red Pocket is not allowed to formally disclose which network is which for each of its plans, but the company refers to its AT&T based plans as GSMA, Verizon based as CDMA, T-Mobile as GSMT, and Sprint as CDMAS. With that in mind, here's what you can now get for $5:
- 1,000 minutes, unlimited text, 1GB hard-capped high-speed data, plan renews at $10/month, works on all networks
- unlimited minutes, unlimited text, 3GB high-speed data, plan renews at $19/month, works on all networks
- unlimited minutes, unlimited text, 10GB high-speed data, plan renews at $30/month, works on all networks. Previously available with 8GB of high-speed data.
- unlimited minutes, unlimited text, 12GB high-speed data, plan renews at $40/month, works on T-Mobile, Sprint, and Verizon. Previously offered 10GB high-speed data
- unlimited minutes, unlimited text, 22GB high-speed data, plan renews at $40/month, works on AT&T. Previously offered 20GB high-speed data
All plans include unlimited data at 2G data speeds once the plan's high-speed allotment gets used up with the exception being the $10 plan. Data shuts off on the $10 plan once the high-speed threshold is reached. The plans also include international calling on all networks, and international text messaging is available on the AT&T, Sprint, and T-Mobile networks. Hotspot can be used with all plans, but Verizon based plans only have hotspot for iPhones.
It is not 100% clear if Red Pocket's data allotment increases are permanent or just part of this sale. Other parts of their website still show the old allotments.
Red Pocket's Black Friday iPhone Offers
Red Pocket is offering $399.99 off any iPhone they have in stock. That means the iPhone SE is available for free. Of course "for free" comes with fine print. Subscribers must signup for Red Pocket's most expensive plan for a time period of 24 months. The iPhone actually has to be paid for in full and upfront. It becomes "free" over two years through monthly discounts on Red Pocket's phone plans. If you subscribe to Red Pocket's $40 plan, you'll pay just $23.38/month for the plan over 24-months thus offsetting the price of the iPhone. You can purchase other Red Pocket Mobile phone plans at a discount as well if you purchase an iPhone, but they won't amount to $399.99 in savings after 2 years.
