It's not Black Friday yet but some wireless providers are already offering deals for the holiday shopping season. One such provider is Lycamobile. Right now and through 11/30/22, Lycamobile will sell you an unlimited phone plan with 60GB of data for just $10. Lycamobile has a couple of other plans on sale specifically for the holiday. You can get a 12GB plan for $5 and another 60GB unlimited plan with more international calling for $20.
Offer Fine Print
The Lycamobile Black Friday holiday sale does come with a little bit of fine print. Fortunately, the fine print is pretty standard for an offer like this.
The special pricing is available for new lines of service only. Customers must enable auto-renewal on their accounts.
Subscribers who take Lycamobile up on an offer will pay the discounted pricing for three months as long as they keep auto-renew on. After three months, the price of each plan will revert back to its regular rate. Regular pricing for each plan is as follows:
- 12GB - $33/month, sale price $5/month
- 60GB base unlimited plan - $49/month, sale price $10/month
- 60GB unlimited plan with additional international calling options - $59/month, sale price $20/month
All plans include unlimited talk, text, and data with the specified amount of data available at high-speeds before throttling to 2G data speeds. The plans also include unlimited talk and text to over 75 countries. Only the 12GB plan allows for hotspot usage. Note that Lycamobile's page of wireless plans shows hotspot is available on all plans, however, their terms and conditions state it's not available on the 60GB plans. BestMVNO believes the terms and conditions page is correct.
The $49, 60GB plan includes 200 minutes and 200 texts of domestic roaming. The other plans do not include any domestic roaming.
The $59, 60GB plan includes a $5 international calling credit and more international bonus minutes to call additional countries not available with the $49 plan.
Taxes and fees that include a 5% regulatory recovery fee charge are extra with all plans.
