Black Wireless has recently launched a promo. Customers who buy Black Wireless's 6-month plan with 10GB of high-speed data will save $60 off on the plan's regular rate. It's now available for $90 or an average cost of $15/month. Black Wireless sells monthly, 6-month, and 12-month phone plans. The 10GB plan is also available as a monthly plan for $30/month and as an annual plan for $24/month or $288. The monthly plan option is also available as a BOGO offer. Customers can buy one month and get their second month for free. The BOGO offer is a continuation offer from the MVNO that has been running for quite awhile. Both promotional offers are only available for new activations and/or first time port-ins.
Black Wireless phone plans focus on those who have international calling needs. Besides the data, the 10GB plan also includes unlimited domestic and international calling to up to 50 countries. However, only 10 unique international numbers can be called during a 30-day plan cycle, and the number resets once the plan is recharged. Data is unlimited but speeds do get throttled to 128Kbps once the plan's high-speed allotment gets used up. High-speed data top-ups are available for those that run out during a billing cycle. Pricing is as follows:
- 1GB - $10
- 2GB - $15
- 10GB - $50
Black Wireless is powered by AT&T towers and uses AT&T's 4G LTE network for coverage. As a promotional offering, the 6-month plan does appear to be one of the better deals currently available on the market. It should be noted that last year Black Wireless offered a deal that was too good to be true, a 6-month plan with 50GB of data for an average cost of $16.67/month. This deal however looks at least more inline with industry norms.
