Support For Major Carrier And MVNO LTE Bands
The major wireless carriers and their respective MVNO’s use the LTE bands shown below. You can easily see which providers the Motorola Moto G7 USA XT1962-1 may be compatible with. The more bands that match up, the more compatible the phone will be with that network.
Keep in mind, even though your phone may appear to be compatible with Sprint or Verizon it still may not work on either of those networks. Sprint and Verizon must whitelist and approve your device for use on their networks. If the device is not whitelisted, it cannot be used. Sprint and Verizon compatible phones must also support CDMA networks described above, under the 2G/3G Bands header.
AT&T And AT&T MVNO Support
AT&T’s main LTE band is band 12, although band 17 can serve as a substitute for band 12. If your phone does not at least support this band, your chances of successfully using it on AT&T or an AT&T MVNO are low.

Hi Is the Motorola Moto G7 XT1962-1 designed for US? Will it work with both GSM and CDMA effectively ? I see the specs…but it looks like its more suited to CDMA
anybody actualy used an xt1962-1 on visible?
Xt1962-5 moto g7 is for use where? USA or other location??
The model you speak of is intended for use outside of the USA. It was designed for use in Europe and some other international markets.
Just so others are aware that might be looking to upgrade to a Motorola G7 XT1962-4 that are PagePlus (PP) subscribers, this model is incompatible and they have no plans to support it in the future. Very odd considering the Pixel 3 support and pretty much any Moto phone from the past 3-4 years that could carry VZ frequencies or was a past VZ phone would work with Page Plus.
Unfortunately, I made the purchase of the phone based on the fact it works fine with a VZ sub and was looking to move off my aging Moto G5 Plus. Off to GoogleFi I go, hopefully a painless port process.
The phone you bought is not the model listed on this page and was not intended for use in the USA. USA model number is XT1962-1 and that is compatible with Page Plus. I updated the page to include that designation. The model you describe doesn’t even have Verizon’s main LTE band, so I’m surprised it was working and even allowed on Verizon.
Thank you! That makes much more sense.
