How Best Cellular Plans Work
The Best Cellular brand was retired in 2022 and is no longer available. This webpage remains up for historical purposes.
Best Cellular started as just an idea in 2002. The goal was to launch a multi-national, multi-carrier MVNO that offered the widest range of coverage in America. The company was originally launched as a tri-carrier bring your own device (BYOD) MVNO offering service as a Verizon MVNO, Sprint MVNO & AT&T MVNO. In April, 2016 T-Mobile was added as a network partner as well.
The first retail store location was opened in a small town called Hotchkiss, Colorado. This first retail location still continues to operate as the corporate headquarters for the Best Cellular team as they expand Nationwide while adding new dealers and retail stores. Phones, SIM Cards and accessories are shipped from different locations, (depending on geographic location of the customer) but most of the shipments are made from Best Cellular employees based in Grand Junction, CO.
Originally launched as “Boss Cellular” in 2012, the acquisition of (18 year old) prepaid wireless domain BestCellular.com was finalized on October 1st, 2016 and the brands merged to become what is now known as Best Cellular.
The company now offers no contract plans for not only individual customers but they also offer cross-carrier corporate plans for businesses. This means a business or family can activate phones on Best Cellular using every major carrier (depending on what’s best for each employee in their specific geographic location) and the company can pay a single bill online, in-store or via phone to Best Cellular. As an example: Companies that have employees in different parts of the country may need some employees to be on the Verizon network and others to be on T-Mobile towers and a few employees in a small rural town to connect using the Sprint towers. With Best Cellular, the company can pay a single phone bill and have phones and service on a wide array of devices and carriers but pay a single bill to one company that makes it easy to manage.
Best Cellular also offers prepaid internet or things (iOT) data plans for developers of all sizes who need inexpensive rate plans for iOT & M2M development.
Supported Phones And BYOD Devices
Any device that is compatible with AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile or Verizon is compatible with Best Cellular as long as it has been paid off in full and is not under any contractual obligations. Most universally unlocked phones from manufacturer’s such as Motorola and Samsung are compatible with the network. T-Mobile unlocked phones are also compatible.
Where To Buy Service Plans And SIM Cards
Service and SIMs can be purchased online directly through Best Cellular or through their network of independent dealers.

Best Cellular looks great if users don’t need a lot of data…
That $15 plan would be great for as much as I talk because I’m always on WiFi. Thanks for sharing BEST MVNO. I’m all about smart money management and only paying for what I need. This sounds like a good option I hadn’t heard about yet. How’s their customer service?
BEST MVNO team,
The page looks great! Thanks for getting this page created for Best Cellular.
Keep up the great work guys! We appreciate it!
Glad to see Best Cellular listed on BestMVNO.com! Best Cellular offers phones, prepaid service, and plans for iOT and M2M services. And with Best Cellular’s BYOD program, you can activate your own phone!
