MobileX Launches New Pay-in-Advance Discounts and Black Friday Deals, Featuring 10GB Plan for $11.90/Month

MobileX has joined the growing list of wireless providers offering multi-month pay-in-advance discounts, a pricing model that has increasingly become the norm among MVNOs and prepaid brands. Alongside its new payment options, MobileX also announced limited-time Black Friday offers available through December 31, 2025.

MobileX Introduces Pay-in-Advance Pricing

Both new and existing customers can now receive a discount when paying upfront for multiple months of service with or without priority data access. Priority data allows for faster data speeds when the network is congested.

Here is how MobileX is pricing its multi-month discount plans with priority data (Gold Network) and without. Pricing shown is average price paid per month. Taxes and fees are extra.

Both unlimited plans include 10GB of hotspot data. The 30GB plan also offers unlimited international calling to 100+ countries, while the 10GB plan requires a $2/month add-on for the same feature. Data speeds are throttled to 512Kbps after the high-speed allotment is consumed.

MobileX Black Friday Deals

In addition to these new standard plan options, MobileX is also offering special Black Friday deals available exclusively for new customers. The deals are:

• $5.83/month for 12 months: 1GB of high-speed data, unlimited talk and text with spam filtering for a total of $69.96
• $10.88/month for 3 months: Unlimited 10 plan with 10GB of high-speed data and unlimited talk and text for a total of $32.64

MobileX adding multi-month discount plans is mildly surprising given that Founder Peter Adderton has publicly criticized these types of offerings in the past, including arguing that they don’t help the consumers who need savings the most.

However, it’s good to see that Adderton has shifted his stance to better meet current market demands. Many MVNOs and carrier-owned prepaid brands, including Mint Mobile, Ultra Mobile, Lyca Mobile, Visible, US Mobile, Cricket Wireless, Red Pocket Mobile, and Airvoice use multi-month discounting in some form.

MobileX adopting this model keeps it competitive by offering some of the industry’s lowest effective monthly rates while helping the company reach a broader audience. The provider continues to differentiate from the rest of the market with its AI-powered custom plan recommendations and operates as an MVNO on the Verizon network.
