MobileX has finally added a feature long requested by its users. Customers can now manage multiple lines on their accounts through what MobileX is calling Xtensions. According to a press release from the MVNO "Xtensions let users seamlessly oversee and control numerous lines in the MobileX app, delivering greater convenience for families, businesses and anyone juggling more than one line."

“Xtensions isn’t your typical family or business plan. It’s full-service wireless management made simple,” said Peter Adderton, founder and CEO of MobileX. “Whether you’re keeping your household connected or managing a team, Xtensions gives you complete control at a fraction of the cost of most carriers. From adding a new line to adjusting data, everything is at your fingertips with no hassle and no surprises.”

Interestingly, Adderton mentions business and team in his PR quote. To date, MobileX hasn't pushed to be a business to business wireless provider, but with the release of Xtensions it seems like that is about to change.

Key Features of Xtensions:

  • Centralized Control. Primary account holders can easily link existing MobileX phone and tablet lines or add new ones with a few taps, sending invitations directly through the app.
  • Effortless Management. Update payment methods, monitor usage and adjust plan settings for each line in real-time - no need to log in and out of separate accounts.
  • Simplified Onboarding. Activate new lines via eSIM or physical SIM card through the app – ideal for families or business teams.
  • Smart Financial Visibility. Backed by MobileX’s AI technology, each line is optimized for the most cost-effective plan available.

MobileX App Now Has Multi-Line Support

To get multi-line support, customers will have to update their MobileX app to the latest version, 5.2.0 or higher.

Adderton believes MobileX has a competitive edge in the wireless market through its use of A.I., which predicts how much data a customer needs and recommends a suitable plan to them. He's long argued that major carriers push expensive unlimited plans that most consumers don’t actually need. MobileX aims to eliminate that waste by allowing customers to pay only for the data and features they use.

Over the last few months MobileX has taken steps to be able to market itself to more customers, and this is just one more step. Back in April, BestMVNO reported that MobileX began to offer expanded support for cellular-enabled tablets. Tablet plans work similar to phone plans and start at $4.08/month and $2.10/GB of data. Unused purchased data can be credited back to the customer's account on the next month's bill. MobileX also launched add-ons in April enabling international calling to over 100 countries, premium caller ID and spam filtering, enhanced visual voicemail, and Mexico and Canada talk and text.

Last month, MobileX launched MobileX Army. MobileX Army allows anyone to essentially become a MobileX ambassador and to earn commissions for doing so. However, unlike other affiliate, referral, or ambassador programs, MobileX ambassadors will earn 10% on each recruit's monthly spend for the life of that customer. They'll also receive a $5 bonus for each new customer that ports their phone number over from another carrier and signs up for an Unlimited plan, or a Build Your Own plan with a minimum of 3GB of data and unlimited talk/text. There is no limit to the amount of money a MobileX Army ambassador can earn.

MobileX is sold through the MobileX website, wireless dealers, and in Walmart stores.
