Not long ago Chit Chat Mobile users were greeted with a new app to help them manage their account.  The app allows customers to shop for new phones or to change plans as well as to pay their bill and find the nearest retail store.  If you're a Chit Chat Mobile user this is something you might want to get your hands on.  Currently the app is only available for Android users and it can be found in the Google play store.

Chit Chat Buyout

In other company news, Chit Chat Mobile CEO John Hennessy has confirmed to Prepaid Reviews that the company has had talks with three other companies about a possible merger or acquisition.  Two of those companies are confirmed to be fellow USA based MVNOs.  The third company is a non telecom company from Canada looking into getting into the wireless market in its native land as well as in the USA.

This would probably be a good move on Chit Chat's part since last year they had financial troubles causing them to have to file for chapter 11 bankruptcy protection.  Right now things are just a matter of talk and nothing may come out of it.  However, based on Chit Chat's current pricing scheme for plans that include data, I suggest they rework some of them to get more competitive in the prepaid wireless market, or they may continue to have financial troubles, and have trouble attracting new customers.
